This will be the second international ecology-evolution symposium organized in Turkey, after EEBST 2014 held last year at Bogazici University, Istanbul. These symposia series started out as a project by the Ecology & Evolution Network of Turkey ("evoeko"). Our goal is to promote cutting edge research in ecology, evolutionary biology, and related interdisciplinary areas in Turkey and in the region.

The Symposium will convene at the Architecture Auditorium, Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara. METU is one of the leading university in Turkey with more that 25,000 students. METU campus spreads over 4500 hectares, of which more that 3000 hectares is currently forested. The university have been awarded Aga Khan Award for Architecture in 1995 for its re-forestation program.
